From a 32-Hour Labor to a Dream Birth: How One Mom Rewrote Her Pregnancy Story
If you are currently pregnant and struggling to walk up the stairs, or if you're holding onto fear from a difficult first birth, you are not alone.
During her first pregnancy, one of our Sprout moms experienced severe pubic bone pain during her final trimester. Moving, walking, and navigating her own home became exhausting chores. Because she couldn't move freely, her body was tense, her baby wasn't in an ideal position, and she endured a exhausting, 32-hour labor.
When she decided to expand her family again, she knew something had to change. She wanted to feel strong, stay mobile, and give her body the best possible chance at a smoother, shorter delivery.
Preparing the Body Before Conception
Instead of waiting for pain to set in, she reached out to Dr. Ian at Sprout Family Chiropractic while she was still trying to conceive. Her goal was simple: get her pelvis properly aligned from day one.
She continued her care throughout her entire second pregnancy—and the difference was night and day:
Complete Mobility:Â She experienced zero pubic bone pain and stayed active, walking effortlessly right up to her due date.
Balanced Alignment:Â Regular adjustments kept her pelvis aligned, giving her baby the space needed to get into the optimal position for birth.
A 2-Hour Unmedicated Delivery:Â At 40 weeks and 5 days, her water broke just two hours after a routine adjustment with Dr. Ian. Once contractions began, her baby arrived in under two hours, with only 10 minutes of pushing and zero medical interventions.
"I was so happy to be able to walk and move around until my delivery date... I am so happy that my labor was so short and I could do it without any medical intervention and no epidural. I greatly appreciate the care I received!"
